About Osmania University

Osmania University (OU) is a state public university located in Hyderabad, Telangana, established in 1918 by the seventh Nizam of Hyderabad. It is one of the oldest modern universities in India, NAAC A+ accredited, with around 35,000 students enrolled across constituent colleges, affiliated colleges and PG centres.

Admission to OU UG programmes is conducted through TS EAMCET (engineering, agriculture, pharmacy), TS ICET (MBA/MCA), TS LAWCET (LLB) and similar Telangana state CETs, while PG admissions are conducted through OUCET — the Osmania University Common Entrance Test. Students are then allotted seats through the TGCHE web counselling portal.

Important Dates

How to Apply

   Register on the relevant TGCHE / OU portal
   Visit ouadmissions.com or tsche.ac.in based on the entrance you are taking (OUCET / TS EAMCET / TS ICET). Create an account, fill the application form and pay the exam fee.

   Appear for the entrance exam
   Download admit card and appear for the chosen TGCHE-conducted entrance exam at the allotted centre. Carry printed admit card and valid photo ID.

   Web options entry on TGCHE portal
   After the result is announced, log in to the TGCHE web counselling portal, fill college and programme preferences, and pay the counselling fee. OU constituent and affiliated colleges appear in the list.
4. 4
   Seat allotment and self-reporting
   After each round of allotment, self-report on the TGCHE portal to either freeze, slide or upgrade. Pay the tuition fee component as instructed.
5. 5
   Report to college and complete admission
   Visit the allotted college with original documents (Class 10, 12, transfer certificate, category certificate, allotment letter), complete physical document verification and pay the balance fee at the college.
