About Arunachal University of Studies

Arunachal University of Studies (AUS) is a state private university located at Knowledge City, Namsai (Lohit district), Arunachal Pradesh, established in 2012 by the Arunachal University of Studies Act, 2012 of the Government of Arunachal Pradesh. AUS is the first private university in the North East to be accredited by ICAR for agricultural education.

AUS offers more than 200 programmes across 13 streams — including arts, commerce, management, law, education, agriculture, pharmacy, nursing, paramedical and medicinal sciences. Admissions to most programmes are based on the merit of the qualifying examination plus aptitude; some professional courses involve programme-specific tests / interviews. The university is NAAC accredited and recognised by UGC with approvals from NCTE, BCI, PCI, RCI, INC and AIU.

Arunachal University of Studies, Namsai admits students primarily on the merit of the qualifying examination — Class 12 for UG and Bachelor's degree for PG — supplemented by a programme-specific aptitude / interview where required. Professional courses follow regulator-prescribed eligibility (NCTE for B.Ed, BCI for LLB, PCI for Pharmacy, INC for Nursing, ICAR for Agriculture).

Eligibility

Diploma: Pass in Class 10. UG: Pass in Class 12 / equivalent from a recognised board with the prescribed subject combination. Ph.D: Master's degree with UGC-prescribed aggregate plus AUS Ph.D entrance / interview.
