About Himalayan University

Himalayan University is a state private university located in Itanagar, Arunachal Pradesh, established in 2013 by an Act of the Arunachal Pradesh State Legislature and recognised under the UGC Act 1956. The university operates from a campus on the outskirts of Itanagar.

Himalayan University offers a very large catalogue of more than 500 programmes — UG, PG, Diploma, PG Diploma and Certificate courses — across arts, commerce, science, law, agriculture, education, engineering and online / distance modes. Admission to most programmes is on the merit of the qualifying examination; selected programmes may add a university-conducted entrance test, personal interview or group discussion as notified.

Himalayan University, Itanagar admits the majority of its UG and PG candidates on the merit of the qualifying examination. Eligibility

Diploma: Class 10. UG: Class 12 / equivalent from a recognised board with the prescribed subject combination. PG: Bachelor's degree in the relevant discipline with the minimum aggregate prescribed for the programme. Ph.D: Master's degree with UGC-prescribed aggregate plus HU research entrance / interview.
