About Rajiv Gandhi University
Rajiv Gandhi University (RGU) is a Central University located at Rono Hills, Doimukh, on the outskirts of Itanagar in Arunachal Pradesh. Originally founded in 1984 as Arunachal University by an Act of the Arunachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly, the institution was renamed Rajiv Gandhi University and converted into a Central University on 9 April 2007 by the Rajiv Gandhi University Act, 2006.
RGU offers UG, PG, M.Phil and Ph.D programmes across humanities, social sciences, sciences, commerce, management, education and law. Admission to UG and PG programmes is conducted through CUET UG and CUET PG (NTA) respectively, while Ph.D admissions use the Rajiv Gandhi University Ph.D Entrance Test (RGUPET).
CUET UG 2026 is being conducted from 11 May to 31 May 2026 by the National Testing Agency. RGU's admission notification, programme list and counselling schedule are published on the official portal at rgu.ac.in.
