About Assam Down Town University

Assam down town University (AdtU) is a state private university located at Sankar Madhab Path, Panikhaiti, Guwahati, Assam, established in 2010 under the Assam Private Universities Act. AdtU is one of the oldest private universities in the North-East and is recognised under UGC Act Section 2(f) with AICTE, NCTE, PCI, INC and BCI approvals for relevant programmes.

AdtU offers UG, PG, Diploma and Ph.D programmes through schools of engineering & technology, applied sciences, business, computer applications, paramedical, nursing, allied health, law and humanities. UG admission is largely on Class 12 merit; AdtU also considers CUET / JEE Main scores. B.Tech candidates must appear for Assam CEE / JEE Main. PG admission is on Bachelor's merit, with CUET PG accepted for select programmes. Ph.D admission is through a university-conducted written test plus interview.
