About Bhattadev University
Bhattadev University is a state university located at Pathsala in Bajali district (carved out of Barpeta) of Assam, established in 2017 by the Bhattadev University Act of the Assam Legislative Assembly through the upgradation of the historic Bajali College — itself one of the oldest colleges in Lower Assam. The university is named after the noted Vaishnava saint and scholar Bhattadev.
Bhattadev University offers UG and PG programmes in Humanities, Science and Commerce — BA, B.Sc, B.Com, MA, M.Sc and M.Com. UG admission for 2026-27 is conducted through CUET UG (NTA) and Samarth-portal-based merit registration; non-CUET candidates can register through the same Samarth portal until 22 May 2026. The university is NAAC-accredited (A grade) and recognised by UGC under Section 22.
The 2026-27 admission notification, programme list and counselling schedule are published on the official portal at bhattadevuniversity.ac.in and bhattadevuniversitycuet.samarth.edu.in.
