About Madhabdev University
Madhabdev University is a state university located at Narayanpur, North Lakhimpur in upper Assam, established in 2017 by an Act of the Assam State Legislature. The university is named after the Vaishnava saint Madhabdev (Mahapurush Madhabdev), a disciple of Srimanta Sankaradeva, and serves the Lakhimpur and Dhemaji districts as the principal affiliating university.
Madhabdev University offers UG, PG, Diploma, Certificate and Ph.D programmes across humanities, sciences and commerce — BA, BA (Hons), B.Sc, B.Sc (Hons), B.Com, MA, M.Sc and M.Com — with specialisations including Botany, Chemistry, English, Mathematics and Physics. UG admission for 2026-27 is conducted through CUET UG (NTA) plus Samarth-portal-based merit registration.
