About The Assam Kaziranga University

The Assam Kaziranga University (TAKU / KU) is one of the largest private universities in North-East India, located at Koraikhowa, Jorhat, Assam. The university was founded in 2012 by the Khetan Industrial Group and is recognised under UGC Act Section 2(f) with AICTE, BCI and PCI approvals for relevant programmes.

Kaziranga University offers UG, PG, Diploma and Ph.D programmes through its schools of Engineering & Technology, Business, Law, Computing Sciences, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Hospitality, Health Sciences, Humanities & Social Sciences and Education. UG admission is through valid scores in JEE Main / Assam CEE / KUEST (Kaziranga University Entrance and Scholarship Test), and PG admission uses CAT / MAT / XAT / CMAT / KUEST. Ph.D admission is through KUEST-Ph.D plus interview.

KUEST 2026 application is open at admission.kazirangauniversity.in (₹1000 application fee). Ph.D KUEST 2026 application closed 11 January with the Ph.D entrance held on 27 January 2026.

Eligibility

UG (B.Tech): 10+2 with PCM and 60% aggregate (50% reserved); JEE Main / Assam CEE / KUEST score. UG (other): 10+2 with 50% aggregate. PG (MBA): Bachelor's with 50% + valid CAT / MAT / XAT / CMAT / KUEST-PG. M.Tech: B.Tech / B.E. + GATE / KUEST-PG. Ph.D: Master's with UGC-prescribed aggregate plus KUEST-PhD.

How to Apply

   Read the KU 2026 notification
   Visit admission.kazirangauniversity.in for the 2026-27 admission notification with programme list, fee structure and KUEST schedule.
2. 2
   Apply for KUEST or recognised entrance
   Apply for KUEST (₹1000 fee) on the KU portal, or submit valid JEE Main / Assam CEE / CAT / MAT / XAT / CMAT / GATE scores as per the programme.

   Appear for KUEST / personal interview
   Sit KUEST on the date notified or submit national-entrance scores; PG / Ph.D candidates attend a personal interview.

   Admission confirmation
   Selected candidates pay the admission fee and report to the Koraikhowa campus, Jorhat.

Scholarships are available for eligible candidates at this university.

KU merit and need-based scholarships through KUEST score; Assam CMSS / Pragyan Bharati awards; SC/ST/OBC/EWS post-matric scholarships; up to 100% scholarship for top KUEST scorers.

Reservations

Assam state reservation: SC 7%, ST(P) 10%, ST(H) 5%, OBC/MOBC 27%, EWS 10%; PwBD 5% horizontal. Up to 100% scholarship through KUEST merit.
