About Dr CV Raman University

Dr. C.V. Raman University (CVRU), Bilaspur is a state private university located at Kargi Road, Kota, Bilaspur in Chhattisgarh, established in 2006 by the Dr. C.V. Raman University, Chhattisgarh Act of the CG Legislative Assembly. CVRU honours Nobel laureate Sir C.V. Raman and is the flagship campus of the broader CVRU network with sister campuses in Bihar, Madhya Pradesh and Khandwa.

CVRU Bilaspur offers UG (BA, B.Sc, B.Com, BBA, BCA, B.Tech, B.Pharm, B.Ed, LLB), PG (MA, M.Sc, M.Com, MBA, MCA, M.Tech, M.Pharm, M.Ed, LLM), Diploma, PG Diploma and Ph.D programmes through schools of engineering, sciences, humanities, commerce, management, computer applications, education, agriculture, pharmacy and law. Admission is largely on the merit of the qualifying examination — Class 12 for UG and Bachelor's degree for PG — supplemented by programme-specific entrance / interview where the regulator requires it.

MBA: Bachelor's + valid CAT / MAT / CVRU Entrance. B.Ed: Bachelor's + B.Ed entrance per NCTE. Ph.D: Master's with UGC-prescribed aggregate plus CVRU research entrance.
