About Indira Gandhi Krishi Vishwavidyalaya
Indira Gandhi Krishi Vishwavidyalaya (IGKV) is a state agricultural university located at Krishak Nagar, Raipur in Chhattisgarh, established in 1987 by the Madhya Pradesh State Legislature and inherited by Chhattisgarh upon state formation in 2000. IGKV is the principal agricultural university for Chhattisgarh and operates a network of constituent and affiliated agriculture, horticulture and dairy / agri-engineering colleges across the state.
IGKV offers UG (B.Sc Ag, B.Sc Horti, B.Tech Ag Engg, B.Sc Forestry, B.Sc Fisheries), PG (M.Sc, M.Tech) and Ph.D programmes across agricultural disciplines. UG admission is through ICAR AIEEA UG (15% AIQ) and the Chhattisgarh Pre-Agriculture Test (CG PAT) administered by CG Vyapam (85% State Quota). PG and Ph.D admissions use ICAR AIEEA PG / AICE-Ph.D.
