About Pt. Ravishankar Shukla University

Pt. Ravishankar Shukla University (PRSU) is a state university located at Raipur in Chhattisgarh, established in 1964 by the Madhya Pradesh State Legislature. PRSU is the oldest and largest university in Chhattisgarh and is named after the freedom fighter and first Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Pt. Ravishankar Shukla. The university is NAAC A-grade accredited.

PRSU offers UG, PG, M.Phil, Ph.D and integrated programmes through 28 schools of studies and 131 affiliated colleges across arts, sciences, commerce, law, education, technology and management. UG admission for 2026-27 is through CUET UG (NTA) and merit-based registration; PG admission uses the PRSU PG Common Entrance or CUET PG. The 5-year Integrated M.Sc requires the PRSU Entrance Test.

PRSU Entrance Test 2026 is scheduled for 7-10 May 2026; the general PRSU application deadline is 20 May 2026. Application fee is ₹750 (General) / ₹550 (SC/ST/OBC). The official portal is at prsu.ac.in.

Eligibility

UG: 10+2 with at least 60% (55% SC/ST); CUET UG score. PG: Bachelor's degree with at least 55% (50% SC/ST); CUET PG / PRSU PG entrance. Integrated M.Sc: 10+2 with PCM / PCB; PRSU Entrance Test. Ph.D: Master's with UGC-prescribed aggregate.

   Visit prsu.ac.in for the 2026-27 admission notification with programme list, fee structure and entrance schedule.

   Apply online
   Register on the PRSU online application portal, fill personal and academic details, upload required documents and pay the application fee.

   Appear for the relevant entrance
   Sit PRSUET (7-10 May 2026) for Integrated M.Sc and select courses; for general UG / PG use CUET UG / CUET PG; for B.Tech use JEE Main; for management use CAT / MAT / XAT / CMAT / ATMA.

   Counselling and admission
   Participate in PRSU counselling, exercise programme / college preferences and confirm allotment by paying the admission fee at the Raipur campus or affiliated college.
