About Pandit Sundarlal Sharma (Open) University Chhattisgarh

Pandit Sundarlal Sharma (Open) University Chhattisgarh (PSSOU) is a state Open and Distance Learning (ODL) university located at Bilaspur in Chhattisgarh, established in 2004 by the PSSOU Act, 2004 of the Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly. PSSOU is the only state Open University in Chhattisgarh and serves the open / distance / non-formal higher education needs of the state.

PSSOU offers UG (BA, B.Sc, B.Com, BBA, BCA), PG (MA, M.Sc, M.Com, MBA, MCA), Diploma, PG Diploma and Certificate programmes through ODL — alongside skill / vocational programmes. Admission is open through merit-based registration on the university portal; there is no centralised entrance test for most ODL programmes. The university is recognised under UGC Act Section 22 and is UGC-DEB approved.
