About Shaheed Nandkumar Patel Vishwavidyalaya
Shaheed Nandkumar Patel Vishwavidyalaya (SNPV) is a state university located at Raigarh in Chhattisgarh, established in 2020 by an Act of the Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly through the bifurcation of Sant Gahira Guru Vishwavidyalaya. The university is named after Shaheed Nandkumar Patel — a Congress leader killed in the 2013 Jhiram Ghati Naxal attack — and serves as the principal affiliating university for colleges across the Raigarh, Korba, Janjgir-Champa and Sakti districts of east Chhattisgarh.
SNPV offers UG (BA, B.Sc, B.Com, BBA, BCA), PG (MA, M.Sc, M.Com) and Ph.D programmes through its constituent and affiliated colleges. UG and PG admission is largely on the merit of the qualifying examination, supplemented by CUET UG / CUET PG for select programmes; Ph.D admission uses the SNPV Research Entrance Test plus interview.
The 2026-27 admission notification, programme list and counselling schedule are released on the official portal at snpv.ac.in.
