About Delhi Sports University

Delhi Sports University (DSU) is a state university located at Mundka, Delhi, established in 2020 by the Delhi Sports University Act, 2019 of the Delhi Legislative Assembly. DSU is set up as Delhi's first sports university and is dedicated to higher education, training, research and policy in sports sciences, sports coaching, sports management and physical education.

DSU offers UG (B.P.Ed, B.A. Sports Studies / Sports Management, B.Sc Sports Coaching), PG (M.P.Ed, M.A. Sports Management, M.Sc Sports Sciences) and Ph.D programmes alongside Diploma and Certificate courses for athletes, coaches and sports professionals. Admission is on the merit of past academic record plus physical fitness / sports proficiency tests and a personal interview, with weightage to performance in recognised national / international sporting events.

Eligibility

B.P.Ed / B.A. Sports Studies / B.Sc Sports Coaching: 10+2 from a recognised board with the prescribed minimum aggregate (per NCTE / SAI norms) plus physical fitness and sports proficiency assessment. PG: Bachelor's in Physical Education / Sports / equivalent. Sportsperson supernumerary seats and Khelo India / SAI weightage where applicable.

How to Apply

   Read the DSU notification
   Visit dsu.ac.in for the 2026-27 admission notification with programme list, eligibility and fitness criteria.

   Apply online
   Register on the DSU online application portal, fill personal and academic details, upload Class 12 marksheets, sports / fitness records and pay the application fee.
3. 3
   Physical fitness / sports proficiency test + interview
   Attend the DSU physical fitness / sports proficiency test plus personal interview on the date notified.
4. 4
   Counselling and admission
   Selected candidates pay the admission fee and report to the Mundka campus, Delhi.

Scholarships

Scholarships are available for eligible candidates at this university.

DSU sports merit awards, Delhi Government sports scholarships, Khelo India / SAI scholarships, SC/ST/OBC/EWS post-matric scholarships through NSP.

Reservations

Delhi state reservation: 85% Delhi quota + 15% outside Delhi for select programmes. SC 15%, ST 7.5%, OBC-NCL 27%, EWS 10%; PwBD 5% horizontal. Sports quota and Khelo India / SAI weightage where applicable.
