About Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha Vishwavidyalaya
Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU / IPU) is a state university located at Sector 16C, Dwarka in New Delhi, established by the GGSIPU Act, 1998 of the Delhi Legislative Assembly. The university is named after the tenth Sikh Guru, Guru Gobind Singh, and is the first state-funded affiliating university in Delhi. GGSIPU operates a network of more than 130 affiliated institutions across Delhi-NCR.
GGSIPU offers UG, PG, M.Phil, Ph.D and Diploma programmes across engineering, technology, management, law, medicine, dental, pharmacy, journalism & mass communication, education and humanities. Admission for 2026-27 is through two main routes: IPU CET (university-conducted entrance test for select programmes including B.Tech Biotechnology Code 130, BBA, MBA and many PG / professional programmes) and National Level Tests / NLT (JEE Main for B.Tech Code 131, NEET UG for MBBS / BDS, CLAT for LLB, CAT for select MBA programmes etc.).
IPU CET 2026 is being conducted between 27 April 2026 and 12 May 2026. Registration started 2 February 2026; CET-based application deadline was 11 April 2026; NLT-based deadline extended to 15 May 2026. The official admission portal is at ipu.ac.in / ipu.admissions.nic.in.
