About Jamia Hamdard University

Jamia Hamdard (JH) is a deemed-to-be university located at Hamdard Nagar, New Delhi, originally established in 1989 by an Act of Parliament conferring deemed-to-be university status to the Institute of History of Medicine and Medical Research, Hakim Abdul Hameed Centre and the Hamdard Foundation institutions. The university is a minority educational institution and combines a strong tradition in medical / pharmaceutical sciences with management, computer applications, education and Islamic studies.

Jamia Hamdard offers UG, PG, M.Phil, Ph.D, Diploma and PG Diploma programmes through schools of pharmaceutical sciences, medicine & allied health sciences (MBBS, BDS, BPT, B.Sc Nursing, B.Sc MLT), management & business studies, engineering & technology, computer sciences, education, humanities, social sciences and Islamic studies. MBBS / BDS admission is through NEET UG; M.Pharm / B.Pharm follow PCI norms (GPAT for M.Pharm); MBA admission accepts CAT / MAT / JH Entrance; other UG / PG admissions use Jamia Hamdard Entrance Test (JHEE) with CUET also accepted for select programmes.

Eligibility

MBBS / BDS: 10+2 PCB + English (50% / 40% reserved); NEET UG. B.Pharm: 10+2 PCB / PCM per PCI norms. PG: Bachelor's in the relevant discipline. M.Pharm: B.Pharm + GPAT. MBA: Bachelor's + valid CAT / MAT / JH Entrance. Medical PG: MBBS + NEET PG. Ph.D: Master's with UGC-prescribed aggregate.

   Visit jamiahamdard.edu for the 2026-27 admission notification with programme list, fee structure and entrance criteria.

   Apply online
   Register on the Jamia Hamdard online application portal, fill personal and academic details, upload required documents and pay the application fee.

   Submit / appear for the entrance
   Submit valid NEET UG (MBBS / BDS), GPAT (M.Pharm), CAT / MAT (MBA), CUET UG / PG or appear for JHEE per the programme.
4. 4
   Counselling and admission
   Participate in JH counselling, exercise programme preferences and confirm allotment by paying the admission fee at the Hamdard Nagar campus.

Jamia Hamdard merit scholarships, Maulana Azad National Fellowship for Minority Students, Hamdard Foundation scholarships, SC/ST/OBC/EWS post-matric scholarships through NSP.

Deemed-university reservation as per Hamdard minority-institution status. SC 15%, ST 7.5%, OBC-NCL 27%, EWS 10%; PwBD 5% horizontal. Hamdard institutional minority quota for Muslim candidates.
