About National Law University Delhi
National Law University Delhi (NLU Delhi) is a public, autonomous law university established in 2008 by the National Law University Act, 2007 of the Government of NCT of Delhi. The university is located in the Sector 14, Dwarka campus and is recognised as one of the top-ranked national law universities in India, consistently placed first in the NIRF Law category.
NLU Delhi offers BA LLB (Hons), LLM, MPhil and PhD programmes, along with the LLD degree. It is also home to several centres of excellence including the Centre for Communication Governance, the Centre on the Death Penalty, the Project 39A criminal-law clinic, the Centre for Constitutional Law Policy and Governance, and the Centre for Innovation, Intellectual Property and Competition.
NLU Delhi admits students through its own All India Law Entrance Test (AILET) — separate from the CLAT examination used by most other NLUs. AILET is conducted annually in December for the next academic year's BA LLB (Hons) and LLM intake. PhD admissions are through a separate NLU Delhi research entrance.
