About Central University of Gujarat

Central University of Gujarat (CUG) is a Central University located at Sector 29, Gandhinagar, established by the Central Universities Act, 2009 of the Indian Parliament. CUG operates from a 250-acre permanent campus and is dedicated to inter-disciplinary research and teaching across humanities, social sciences, sciences, life sciences, environment & sustainability, and language studies — with a special emphasis on West Asian / Central Asian / South Asian language and area studies.

CUG offers UG, integrated, PG, M.Phil and Ph.D programmes through 6 schools and 18 centres / departments. UG and PG admission is conducted entirely through CUET UG and CUET PG (NTA) respectively; Ph.D admission uses the CUG Research Entrance Test or NET-JRF / GATE qualification.

CUET UG 2026 is being conducted from 11 to 31 May 2026. The CUG 2026-27 admission notification, programme list and counselling schedule are released on the official portal at cug.ac.in.

Eligibility

UG: 10+2 from a recognised board with the prescribed subject combination plus a valid CUET UG score. PG: Bachelor's in the relevant discipline; CUET PG. Ph.D: Master's with 55% (50% reserved); CUG research entrance / NET-JRF / GATE.

    Register on cuet.nta.nic.in / cuetpg.nta.nic.in, select Central University of Gujarat as a preferred university and pay the CUET application fee.
