About Gujarat Biotechnology University

Gujarat Biotechnology University (GBU) is a state university located at GIFT City, Gandhinagar in Gujarat, established in 2018 by the GBU Act, 2017 of the Gujarat Legislative Assembly with the mandate to promote teaching, research and entrepreneurship in biotechnology and life sciences. GBU operates in collaboration with the University of Edinburgh, UK and is positioned as a research-intensive specialised university.

GBU offers M.Sc, M.Tech and Ph.D programmes in Biotechnology, Bioengineering, Computational Biology, Microbiology, Biomedical Sciences and allied disciplines.
