About Gujarat Maritime University

Gujarat Maritime University (GMU) is a state university located at GIFT City, Gandhinagar in Gujarat, established in 2017 by the Gujarat Maritime University Act, 2017 of the Gujarat Legislative Assembly. GMU is India's first national university dedicated entirely to maritime education, research and policy and is sponsored by the Gujarat Maritime Board.

GMU offers PG (LLM Maritime Law, MBA Maritime Management, M.Sc Maritime Logistics, MBA Shipping & Logistics), Diploma, PG Diploma and Ph.D programmes. Admission is through the GMU Entrance Examination plus interview, with weightage to relevant maritime / logistics / shipping experience and academic record.
