About Gujarat National Law University

Gujarat National Law University (GNLU) is a National Law University located at Knowledge Corridor, Koba (near Gandhinagar) in Gujarat, established by the Gujarat National Law University Act, 2003 of the Gujarat Legislative Assembly. GNLU is recognised as one of India's top National Law Universities and is recognised as an Institute of National Importance for legal education.

GNLU offers a 5-year integrated B.A. LL.B. (Hons.), B.Com. LL.B. (Hons.), B.B.A. LL.B. (Hons.), B.S.W. LL.B. (Hons.) and B.Sc. LL.B. (Hons.) programmes alongside one-year LL.M. and Ph.D programmes in law. Admission to BA/BCom/BBA/BSW/BSc LLB and LLM is through the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT UG / CLAT PG) conducted by the Consortium of National Law Universities, with subsequent CLAT counselling and university-side registration.

Conducted by Consortium of National Law Universities

CLAT (Common Law Admission Test) UG and PG are conducted by the Consortium of NLUs for admission to BA/BCom/BBA/BSW/BSc LLB and LLM at participating National Law Universities including GNLU. CLAT 2026 was held on 7 December 2025; CLAT 2027 is expected late 2026.

Eligibility

BA / BCom / BBA / BSW / BSc LLB (Hons): 10+2 with 45% aggregate (40% SC/ST). LLM: LLB / equivalent law degree with 50% (45% SC/ST). Selection through CLAT score and counselling.

How to Apply

    Register for CLAT
    Create an account on consortiumofnlus.ac.in, complete the CLAT UG / PG application and pay the CLAT fee (₹4000 General; ₹3500 SC/ST/BPL).

    Appear for CLAT
    CLAT is a single offline test; CLAT 2026 was held on 7 December 2025.

    NLU centralised counselling
    After CLAT result, fill GNLU as a preference in the centralised CLAT counselling and lock seat through the consortium portal.

    Final admission at GNLU
    Allotted candidates pay the GNLU admission fee, complete document verification and report to the Knowledge Corridor campus, Koba.
