About Kamdhenu University

Kamdhenu University (KU) is a state veterinary and animal sciences university located at Sector 11, Gandhinagar in Gujarat, established in 2009 by the Kamdhenu University Act, 2009 of the Gujarat Legislative Assembly through the bifurcation of veterinary / animal-sciences faculties from Anand Agricultural University, Junagadh Agricultural University and Sardar Krushinagar Dantiwada Agricultural University. The university is named after Kamdhenu — the divine wish-fulfilling cow of Hindu mythology.

Kamdhenu University offers UG (B.V.Sc & A.H., B.Tech Dairy Technology, B.F.Sc Fisheries), PG (M.V.Sc, M.F.Sc, M.Tech Dairy) and Ph.D programmes through its constituent veterinary, dairy and fisheries colleges across Gujarat. UG admission for B.V.Sc & A.H. is through NEET UG + VCI counselling (15% AIQ + 85% State Quota); B.F.Sc / B.Tech Dairy use ICAR AIEEA UG plus state-quota GUJCET. PG admission uses ICAR AIEEA PG.
