About Lakulish Yoga University

Lakulish Yoga University (LYU) is a state private university located at Ahmedabad in Gujarat, established in 2013 by the Lakulish Yoga University Act, 2013 of the Gujarat Legislative Assembly. LYU is dedicated to higher education, research and policy in Yoga, Naturopathy, Ayurveda and traditional Indian wellness sciences and is named after the 12th-century Pashupata-tradition acharya Lakulish.

LYU offers UG (B.Sc Yoga, BA Yoga, BNYS), PG (M.Sc Yoga, MA Yoga, M.Sc Yoga Therapy, MD Naturopathy), Diploma and Ph.D programmes. Admission is largely on the merit of the qualifying examination plus an aptitude / interview round, with weightage to demonstrated yoga / naturopathy proficiency.

Eligibility

UG (B.Sc / BA Yoga, BNYS): 10+2 from a recognised board with the prescribed subject combination. PG (M.Sc / MA Yoga, M.Sc Yoga Therapy, MD Naturopathy): Bachelor's degree (preferably in Yoga / Sciences / Allied Health). Ph.D: Master's with UGC-prescribed aggregate.
