About Pandit Deendayal Energy University

Pandit Deendayal Energy University (PDEU) is a deemed-to-be university located at Raisan, Gandhinagar in Gujarat, originally established in 2007 as Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University (PDPU) by an Act of the Gujarat Legislative Assembly and renamed in 2021 to reflect its expanded mandate beyond petroleum. PDEU is sponsored by the Gujarat Energy Resources Management Institute (GERMI) and is positioned as a leading private university for energy, engineering, management and policy.

PDEU offers UG (B.Tech in CSE / IT / EEE / Mechanical / Civil / Chemical / Petroleum / Mechatronics / AI&DS, BBA, B.Sc), PG (M.Tech in Energy / Petroleum / Power Systems / Renewable Energy etc., MBA, M.Sc, MA Liberal Studies, M.Plan) and Ph.D programmes. B.Tech admission is through JEE Main + GUJCET + PDEU counselling; MBA admission accepts CAT / XAT / CMAT / NMAT plus PDEU GD-PI; LLM admission via CLAT.
