About Saurashtra University

Saurashtra University (SU) is a state university located at University Road, Rajkot, established in 1965 (originally founded as Saurashtra University by the Bombay State Legislature in 1955; the present operational structure dates to 1967). The university is the principal affiliating university for the Saurashtra region of Gujarat and operates a network of more than 250 affiliated colleges across the Rajkot, Jamnagar, Junagadh, Porbandar and Amreli districts.

Saurashtra University offers UG, PG, M.Phil, Ph.D, Diploma and integrated programmes through 25 PG departments and affiliated colleges across arts, commerce, sciences, management, law, education and computer applications. UG admission for 2026-27 is conducted through GCAS (Gujarat Common Admission Services) for general programmes; B.Tech / B.Pharm admission uses GUJCET + ACPC counselling; MBBS / BDS uses NEET UG; LLB uses CLAT or SU law entrance.
