About Lala Lajpat Rai University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences

Lala Lajpat Rai University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (LUVAS) is a state veterinary and animal sciences university located at Hisar in Haryana, established in 2010 by the LUVAS Act, 2010 of the Haryana Legislative Assembly through the bifurcation of veterinary faculties from CCSHAU. LUVAS is named after the freedom fighter Lala Lajpat Rai and is the principal university for veterinary and animal sciences education in Haryana.

LUVAS offers UG (B.V.Sc & A.H., B.F.Sc, B.Tech Dairy Tech), PG (M.V.Sc, M.F.Sc, M.Tech Dairy) and Ph.D programmes. B.V.Sc via NEET UG + VCI counselling (15% AIQ + 85% State Quota); B.F.Sc / B.Tech Dairy via ICAR AIEEA + LUVAS Entrance; PG via ICAR AIEEA PG; Ph.D via AICE-Ph.D.
