About Chitkara University

Chitkara University Himachal Pradesh is a state private university located at Barotiwala, Solan district in Himachal Pradesh, established in 2009 by the Chitkara University Act, 2009 of the HP Legislative Assembly. The university is part of the Chitkara Educational Trust (founded 1998) and is positioned as a research-intensive multi-disciplinary private university with strong engineering, pharmacy, management, hospitality, design and humanities programmes.

Chitkara offers UG (B.Tech, B.Pharm, BBA, BHMCT, B.Sc, B.Des, BA), PG (M.Tech, M.Pharm, MBA, MHMCT, M.Sc, M.Des, MA) and Ph.D programmes. B.Tech via JEE Main / Chitkara Common Entrance Test (CCET); MBA via CAT / MAT / CMAT; M.Pharm via GPAT.
