About University of Kashmir
University of Kashmir (UoK) is a state university located at Hazratbal, Srinagar in Jammu & Kashmir, established in 1948 by the Maharaja of Jammu and Kashmir and made operational in 1949 — making it the oldest university in J&K. UoK is the principal affiliating university for colleges across the Kashmir Valley and is NAAC A+ accredited.
UoK offers UG, PG, M.Phil and Ph.D programmes through 13 faculties and 50+ departments across arts, sciences, commerce, management, law, engineering (B.Tech, M.Tech), pharmacy, education, music and physical education. UG admission is largely through CUET UG (NTA) plus merit-based registration for select programmes; PG admission via UoK PG Entrance or CUET PG; LLB via CLAT or UoK Law Entrance.
