Dr. BR Ambedkar School of Economics University (BASE) is a state university located at Bengaluru in Karnataka, established in 2019 by the BASE Act, 2019 of the Karnataka Legislative Assembly. BASE is a specialist economics university honouring Babasaheb Dr. B.R. Ambedkar — modelled on the London School of Economics — and is dedicated to teaching, research and policy in economics and allied social sciences.

BASE offers Integrated 5-year MA Economics (with specialisations in Behavioural Economics, Development Economics, Public Policy, Financial Economics), PG (MA Economics, MA Public Policy) and Ph.D programmes. Admission via BASE Aptitude Test plus interview; CUET UG accepted for select programmes.
