About Christ University

Christ (Deemed to be University) is a private deemed university located on Hosur Road, Bengaluru, Karnataka. Founded in 1969 as Christ College by the Carmelites of Mary Immaculate (CMI Fathers), it was identified as an "Institution with Potential for Excellence" by UGC in 2006 and conferred Deemed-to-be-University status in 2008 under Section 3 of the UGC Act. Christ has additional campuses in Lavasa (Pune), Delhi NCR (Ghaziabad) and Yeshwanthpur (Bengaluru).

Christ has 16 schools and 60+ departments offering 100+ UG, PG, integrated, MPhil and PhD programmes across humanities, social sciences, sciences, commerce, management (CIM/Christ University Institute of Management), engineering & technology, law, education, psychology, performing arts and architecture. The university is widely recognised for its strong placements and is consistently among the top private universities in India.

Eligibility

UG: Class 10+2 (Karnataka PUC / ISC / CBSE / NIOS / IGCSE / IB) from a recognised board with the minimum percentage specified by each programme (typically 50–65%). Programme-specific subject requirements apply. PG: Bachelor's degree in the relevant discipline from a recognised university with at least 50% (45% for SC/ST/PwBD). MBA: Bachelor's with at least 50% and a valid CAT/MAT/CMAT/Christ CUET score. PhD: Master's with 55%+ and qualifying UGC-NET / GATE / Christ PhD entrance plus interview.
