Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research (JNCASR) is a deemed-to-be university located at Jakkur, Bengaluru in Karnataka, established in 1989 by the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India and conferred deemed-to-be university status in 2002. JNCASR is one of India's top-ranked research-only institutions for advanced sciences — chemical biology, materials science, condensed matter physics, theoretical sciences.
JNCASR offers Integrated Ph.D and Ph.D programmes in Chemical & Biological Sciences, Materials & Engineering Sciences, Mathematical & Theoretical Sciences, and Computational & Information Sciences. Admission via JNCASR Entrance Examination + interview; CSIR-NET / GATE / JEST / NBHM also accepted in lieu.
