About Karnataka Janapada Vishwavidyalaya

Karnataka Janapada Vishwavidyalaya (KJV) is a state university located at Shiggaon, Haveri in Karnataka, established in 2012 by the KJV Act, 2011 of the Karnataka Legislative Assembly. KJV is dedicated to teaching, research and documentation of Janapada (folk) traditions of Karnataka.

KJV offers UG, PG, Diploma and Ph.D programmes in folklore, folk literature, folk music, folk drama, folk arts and tribal studies. Admission via KJV Aptitude + interview.
