About Karnataka Samskrit University

Karnataka Samskrit University (KSU) is a state Sanskrit university located at Pampa Mahakavi Road, Chamarajpet, Bengaluru in Karnataka, established in 2010 by the KSU Act, 2010 of the Karnataka Legislative Assembly. KSU is dedicated to teaching, research and documentation of Sanskrit, Indian Knowledge Systems and Vedic traditions with strong focus on Karnataka's Sanskrit heritage.

KSU offers Prak Shastri (PUC level), Shastri (UG), Acharya (PG), Vidya Varidhi (Ph.D), Diploma and Certificate programmes in Sanskrit, Veda, Vyakaran, Sahitya, Darshan, Jyotish, Ayurveda, Indian Philosophy and Karnataka Sanskrit tradition. Admission is largely on merit + KSU CET; Ph.D via KSU Research Entrance.
