About University of Mysore
University of Mysore (UoM) is a state university located at Manasagangothri Campus, Mysuru in Karnataka, established in 1916 by Maharaja Krishnaraja Wadiyar IV of Mysore — the sixth oldest university in India and the first established in a princely state. UoM serves the colleges of the Mysuru, Mandya, Chamarajanagar and Hassan districts of southern Karnataka. NAAC A+ accredited.
UoM offers UG, PG, M.Phil and Ph.D programmes through 7 faculties and 50+ departments across arts, sciences, commerce, management, law, education, languages and engineering. UG admission for 2026-27 is largely through CUET UG (NTA) plus merit-based registration; B.Tech via KCET + KEA / COMEDK; PG via UoM PG Entrance or CUET PG; LLB via CLAT or UoM Law Entrance.
