About Central University of Kerala
Central University of Kerala (CUK), established in 2009 under the Central Universities Act 2009, is one of 15 new Central Universities created by the Government of India in that year. Located at Tejaswini Hills, Periye in Kasaragod district, the university aims to provide higher education and research opportunities to the people of Kerala under the central government framework.
The university has 25 departments organised into schools of Education, Languages and Comparative Literature, Mathematical and Physical Sciences, Earth Sciences, Business Studies, Information Sciences and Social Sciences. It offers integrated 5-year programmes, PG (MA/MSc/MCom/MBA/MTech), MPhil and PhD programmes. NAAC accredited and recognised by UGC.
Admissions are through CUET UG for integrated and UG programmes, CUET PG for postgraduate programmes, and Department-specific PhD entrance/CUET-PhD for doctoral. Central reservation applies: SC 15%, ST 7.5%, OBC-NCL 27%, EWS 10%, PwBD 5% horizontal.
