About Atal Bihari Vajpai Hindi Vishwavidyalaya
Atal Bihari Vajpayee Hindi Vishwavidyalaya (ABVHV), established in 2011 by an Act of the Madhya Pradesh state legislature, is a unique state university dedicated to Hindi as the medium of instruction across all disciplines. Located at Kohefiza, Bhopal, the university was named in honour of former Prime Minister and noted Hindi orator-poet Atal Bihari Vajpayee. The university's explicit mandate is to deliver higher education in Hindi medium, develop Hindi-medium academic content and translate global knowledge into Hindi.
ABVHV has multiple schools covering Humanities, Social Sciences, Sciences, Commerce, Management, Engineering & Technology, Education, Law and Performing Arts — all delivered in Hindi medium. The university develops Hindi terminology for technical and scientific disciplines. Offers UG, PG, Diploma and PhD programmes. Recognised by UGC under Section 2(f).
Admissions through ABVHV-conducted entrance for select programmes; merit-based for most on Plus Two / UG marks. CUET UG/PG accepted for select departments. PhD through ABVHV PhD entrance.
