About Awadhesh Pratap Singh University
Awadhesh Pratap Singh University (APSU), established in 1968 in Rewa, is a state university serving the Baghelkhand region of Madhya Pradesh — encompassing Rewa, Satna, Sidhi, Singrauli, Anuppur, Umaria and Shahdol districts. The university is named after the freedom fighter and former Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Awadhesh Pratap Singh.
APSU has 22 teaching departments organised into faculties of Arts, Social Sciences, Sciences, Commerce, Law, Education and Management. It affiliates over 100 colleges across the Baghelkhand region. The university is NAAC B+ accredited and recognised by UGC under Section 12(B). The School of Studies in Mineral Engineering and the Centre for Tribal Studies are noteworthy.
UG admissions to affiliated colleges through MP Online on Plus Two merit. PG admissions through APSU PG Entrance or CUET PG for select departments. PhD through APSU PhD entrance.
