About Barkatullah University
Barkatullah University, established in 1970 as the University of Bhopal and renamed in 1988 in honour of the Indian freedom fighter and Ghadar Party leader Maulana Barkatullah of Bhopal, is the principal state university of the capital city Bhopal. The university serves the Bhopal division of Madhya Pradesh including Bhopal, Sehore, Raisen, Vidisha, Rajgarh and Hoshangabad districts, affiliating over 200 colleges.
Barkatullah University has 35 teaching departments organised into faculties of Arts, Social Sciences, Sciences, Commerce, Education, Law, Engineering & Technology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Management and Performing Arts. The Institute of Hotel Management and the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences are flagship units. NAAC B++ accredited and recognised by UGC under Section 12(B).
UG admissions to affiliated colleges through MP Online (epravesh.mponline.gov.in) on Plus Two merit. PG admissions through Barkatullah University PG Entrance or CUET PG for select departments. PhD through Barkatullah University PhD entrance.
