About Maharaja Chhatrasal Bundelkhand Vishwavidyalaya
Maharaja Chhatrasal Bundelkhand Vishwavidyalaya (MCBU), established in 2014 by an Act of the Madhya Pradesh state legislature, is a state university serving the Bundelkhand region of Madhya Pradesh. Headquartered at Chhatarpur, the university is named after Maharaja Chhatrasal — the legendary 17th-century Bundela ruler who founded the Panna kingdom and resisted Mughal expansion. MCBU was carved out of Bundelkhand University Jhansi's MP affiliated colleges and serves Chhatarpur, Tikamgarh, Damoh, Niwari, Panna and Sagar districts.
MCBU has 12 teaching departments across faculties of Arts, Social Sciences, Sciences, Commerce, Education, Law and Engineering & Technology. The university affiliates over 50 UG colleges in the Bundelkhand region. NAAC accredited and recognised by UGC under Section 2(f) and 12(B).
UG admissions to affiliated colleges through MP Online (epravesh.mponline.gov.in) on Plus Two merit. PG admissions through MCBU PG Entrance or CUET PG for select departments. PhD through MCBU PhD entrance.
