About Madhya Pradesh Medical Science University

Madhya Pradesh Medical Science University (MPMSU), established in 2011 by an Act of the MP state legislature, is the apex medical sciences university of Madhya Pradesh. Headquartered at Jabalpur, MPMSU regulates and conducts examinations for all medical, dental, AYUSH, nursing, pharmacy and paramedical colleges in MP (government and private), unifying all health science education under a single university framework — analogous to KUHS in Kerala or NTRUHS in Andhra Pradesh.

MPMSU does not run colleges directly but affiliates 200+ health colleges across MP — MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BHMS, BUMS, B.Pharm, BSc Nursing, BPT, BOT, BSc MLT, BSc Optometry and other allied health programmes at UG; MD/MS, MDS, M.Pharm, MSc Nursing at PG; PhD in health sciences. Recognised by Government of MP and accredited by NMC/DCI/CCIM/PCI/INC.

Admissions are entirely through national/state entrance examinations: NEET UG for MBBS/BDS/AYUSH and BSc Nursing, NEET PG for MD/MS, NEET MDS for MDS, AIAPGET for AYUSH PG, GPAT for M.Pharm — with state-quota counselling conducted by DME-MP/Directorate of Medical Education at dme.mponline.gov.in.

MPMSU does not conduct an independent entrance — admissions to all affiliated health colleges (MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BHMS, BSc Nursing, BPT, etc.) are through national entrances (NEET UG/PG, NEET MDS, AIAPGET, GPAT) followed by state counselling by DME-MP at dme.mponline.gov.in.

Eligibility

MBBS/BDS: Plus Two PCB 50% (40% SC/ST/OBC) + NEET UG. BAMS/BHMS/BSMS/BUMS: same + NEET UG. BSc Nursing: PCB 45% + NEET UG or MP PNST. MD/MS: MBBS + internship + NEET PG. MDS: BDS + NEET MDS.
