About Nanaji Deshmukh Pashu Chikitsa Vigyan Vishwavidyalaya
Nanaji Deshmukh Veterinary Science University (NDVSU), established in 2009 by the NDVSU Act of the MP state legislature, is the state veterinary university of Madhya Pradesh. Headquartered at Jabalpur, NDVSU was named after the eminent social worker and Padma Vibhushan awardee Nanaji Deshmukh. The university was formed by separating the veterinary education stream from Jawaharlal Nehru Krishi Vishwavidyalaya (JNKVV) — taking over the Veterinary Colleges at Jabalpur and Mhow.
NDVSU has two constituent veterinary colleges (Jabalpur and Mhow) along with the College of Fishery Science Jabalpur, College of Dairy Technology Mhow and the College of Veterinary Science Rewa. Offers BVSc & AH, BFSc, BTech Dairy Technology, MVSc, MFSc, MTech Dairy and PhD programmes. ICAR-accredited state veterinary university; recognised by Veterinary Council of India (VCI).
UG admissions to BVSc & AH through MP PV&FT (Pre-Veterinary & Fisheries Test) conducted by MP Vyapam/MPPEB for state quota (85%) and ICAR AIEEA UG for national quota (15%). PG/PhD through ICAR AIEEA PG / AICE-JRF.
