About National Law Institute University
National Law Institute University (NLIU) Bhopal, established in 1997 by the NLIU Act of the Madhya Pradesh state legislature (operational from 1998 with the first batch admitted in 1999), is one of the first National Law Universities in India and a participant in the Consortium of NLUs. NLIU Bhopal was the second NLU established in India (after NLSIU Bangalore in 1986 and NALSAR Hyderabad in 1998). The campus is located at Kerwa Dam Road, Bhopal.
NLIU offers a 5-year integrated BA LLB (Hons.), 1-year LL.M., 2-year MBL (Master of Business Law), and PhD programmes. Specialised research centres include Centre for Research in Intellectual Property Rights, Centre for Business and Commercial Laws, and Centre for Tribunals and Public Law. NAAC A grade accredited; consistently ranked among the top NLUs in NIRF.
BA LLB (Hons) admissions through CLAT UG conducted by Consortium of NLUs. LL.M. admissions through CLAT PG. MBL through NLIU MBL Entrance. PhD through NLIU PhD entrance. MP state quota of 25% within CLAT merit for Madhya Pradesh domicile candidates.
