About Rani Durgavati Vishwavidyalaya
Rani Durgavati Vishwavidyalaya (RDVV), established in 1957 as the University of Jabalpur and renamed in 1983 in honour of Rani Durgavati (the 16th-century Gond queen of Garha-Mandla), is a state university located in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh. RDVV is one of the oldest universities of Madhya Pradesh and serves the Mahakoshal region (eastern MP — Jabalpur, Mandla, Dindori, Katni, Narsinghpur, Seoni, Balaghat and Chhindwara districts).
The university has 30 departments organised into 11 faculties — Arts, Social Sciences, Sciences, Commerce, Law, Education, Engineering & Technology, Life Sciences, Medicine, Management and Veterinary Sciences. It affiliates over 200 UG colleges. RDVV is NAAC A grade accredited and recognised by UGC under Section 12(B). The university operates the National Skill Centre of Excellence and the Centre for Studies of Tribal Languages and Culture.
UG admissions to affiliated colleges through MP Online (MP Higher Education Department centralised counselling) on Plus Two merit basis. PG admissions through RDVV PG entrance / merit + CUET PG accepted for select departments. PhD through RDVV PhD entrance.
