About Rabindranath Tagore University
Rabindranath Tagore University (RTU), established in 2010 by the AISECT Group and recognised as a private state university of Madhya Pradesh, is a leading multidisciplinary university located at Mendua, Bhojpur Road, near Bhopal. The university is named in honour of Rabindranath Tagore, the Nobel laureate poet and educationist. It is one of the largest private universities in central India and a flagship institution of the AISECT Group of Universities (which also operates Dr. C.V. Raman University in Bilaspur and other AISECT-branded universities).
RTU has 20+ faculties including Engineering & Technology, Sciences, Commerce & Management, Education, Law, Liberal Arts & Languages, Agriculture, Pharmacy, Vocational Studies, Performing Arts, Architecture and Mass Communication. The university offers UG, PG, Integrated, Diploma and PhD programmes across 200+ disciplines. NAAC accredited and recognised by UGC under Section 2(f).
Admissions through AISECT Common Entrance Test (AISECT CET) for select programmes; merit-based for most UG and PG programmes on Plus Two / UG marks. CUET UG/PG accepted. NEET UG for medical UG; GATE/CAT for relevant PG. PhD through RTU PhD entrance.
