About Rajmata Vijayaraje Scindia Krishi Vishwavidyalaya
Rajmata Vijayaraje Scindia Krishi Vishwavidyalaya (RVSKVV), established in 2009 by an Act of the Madhya Pradesh state legislature, is the second agricultural university of Madhya Pradesh. Headquartered at Gwalior, RVSKVV serves the western MP region (15 districts including Gwalior, Bhind, Morena, Ujjain, Indore, Ratlam, Mandsaur and Khargone). The university is named in honour of Rajmata Vijaya Raje Scindia of the Gwalior royal family, a prominent politician and patron of agriculture.
RVSKVV was formed by separating the College of Agriculture (Indore), College of Agriculture (Gwalior) and the College of Horticulture (Mandsaur) from JNKVV Jabalpur. The university currently has Colleges of Agriculture at Gwalior, Indore, Sehore and Khandwa; College of Horticulture at Mandsaur; and operates 13 Krishi Vigyan Kendras (KVKs). ICAR-accredited state agricultural university; recognised by UGC under Section 12(B).
UG admissions to BSc Agriculture, BSc Horticulture, BTech Agricultural Engineering through MP PAT (state quota 85%) and ICAR AIEEA UG (15% national quota). PG/PhD through ICAR AIEEA PG / AICE-JRF.
