VIT Bhopal University, established in 2017 by an Act of the Madhya Pradesh state legislature, is a private state university and the third campus of the renowned Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) Group — after VIT Vellore (founded 1984) and VIT Chennai (2010). Located at Kothri-Kalan in Sehore district (45 km from Bhopal), the 100-acre campus offers a multidisciplinary education modelled on the VIT Vellore template — emphasising research, industry partnerships and global academic exchanges.
