About Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Technological University

Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Technological University (DBATU), established in 1992 (formally as DBATU through the DBATU Act 2014 as a state technological university; previously known as Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University Polytechnic and then upgraded) at Lonere in Raigad district, is the state technological university of Maharashtra. DBATU is purely an affiliating-and-examining technological university with jurisdiction over many engineering, technology and architecture colleges across Maharashtra (excluding the Mumbai region under University of Mumbai jurisdiction).

DBATU has a constituent campus at Lonere (the Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Technological University main campus at Lonere offers B.Tech, M.Tech and PhD programmes directly). The university also affiliates 100+ engineering and architecture colleges. NAAC accredited; recognised by AICTE/COA.
