About Datta Meghe Institute of Medical Sciences
Datta Meghe Institute of Higher Education and Research (DMIHER), established in 1996 (originally as Datta Meghe Institute of Medical Sciences DMIMS, declared Deemed-to-be University in 2005), is a private deemed university located at Sawangi (Meghe), Wardha. Founded by Datta Meghe — the educationist and politician — the institute has expanded from a medical college into a multi-disciplinary deemed university.
DMIHER has faculties of Medicine, Dentistry, Nursing, Physiotherapy, Allied Health Sciences, Pharmacy, Ayurveda, Engineering and Management. The Acharya Vinoba Bhave Rural Hospital & Research Centre (a 1200-bed teaching hospital) and the Sharad Pawar Dental College are flagship units. NAAC A++ accredited (Cycle 3, 2023).
