About DY Patil Educational Society

DY Patil Educational Society (DYPES) Kolhapur, established in 1984 as a medical college and declared a Deemed-to-be University in 2005 under the UGC Act, is a private deemed university located at Kasaba Bawda, Kolhapur. The institute is part of the DY Patil Group (Kolhapur branch — separate from the DPU Pune and DPU Navi Mumbai institutions but related through the larger Patil family business).

DYPES has faculties of Medicine, Dentistry, Nursing, Physiotherapy and Allied Health Sciences. The DY Patil Medical College, Hospital & Research Centre Kolhapur is the flagship — providing tertiary care to South Maharashtra. NAAC A grade accredited.
