About Maharashtra University of Health Sciences

Maharashtra University of Health Sciences (MUHS), established in 1998 (operational 2000) at Nashik, is the apex health sciences university of Maharashtra. MUHS regulates and conducts examinations for all medical, dental, AYUSH, nursing, pharmacy and paramedical colleges in Maharashtra (government and private), unifying all health science education under a single university framework. Headquartered at Vani Road, Mhasrul, Nashik.

MUHS does not run colleges directly but affiliates 800+ health colleges across Maharashtra — MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BHMS, BUMS, B.Pharm, BSc Nursing, BPT, BOT, BSc MLT, BSc Optometry and other allied health programmes at UG; MD/MS, MDS, M.Pharm, MSc Nursing at PG; PhD in health sciences. Recognised by Government of Maharashtra and accredited by NMC/DCI/CCIM/PCI/INC.

Admissions are entirely through national/state entrance examinations: NEET UG for MBBS/BDS/AYUSH and BSc Nursing, NEET PG for MD/MS, NEET MDS for MDS, AIAPGET for AYUSH PG, GPAT for M.Pharm — with state-quota counselling conducted by State CET Cell Maharashtra (cetcell.mahacet.org).

MUHS does not conduct an independent entrance — admissions to all affiliated health colleges (MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BHMS, BSc Nursing, BPT, etc.) are through national entrances (NEET UG/PG, NEET MDS, AIAPGET, GPAT) followed by state counselling by State CET Cell Maharashtra.

Eligibility

MBBS/BDS: Plus Two PCB 50% (40% SC/ST/OBC) + NEET UG. BAMS/BHMS: same + NEET UG. BSc Nursing: PCB 45% + NEET UG. MD/MS: MBBS + internship + NEET PG. MDS: BDS + NEET MDS.
